How do I log in to Libby?

After you have downloaded the Libby (by Overdrive) app, you will need to log in to your account.
1. You may be automatically prompted to select your library when you open the app for the first time. If not, you can select the three horizontal bar symbol in the middle along the bottom of the app. Then, under 'Your Libraries', select 'Add Library'.
2. In the search bar, search for Black Hawk College. The name of the library in Libby is the consortium name, which is NILRC Academic Shared Digital Collection. Select the matching library.
3. Once you have selected your library, you need to select "Sign in With My Card".
4. The next screen will prompt you to select your college. Black Hawk College should be the first option, but if not, scroll down to find it on the list and select it.
5. On the next screen, you should be asked to select 'Next' to be taken to the college login page. You will use your MyBHC username and password to sign in.
6. You should now be signed in! You can add other cards to your account (like from your public library) and then you can checkout from different collections of ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines.
7. You can scroll through the curated lists (like most popular or recommended at book club) or browse the collection. You can check out 5 items at a time. If you have any questions, or would like help using the app, feel free to contact a librarian!
